Meet Chantale Pomerleau
Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist
Chantale (she/her) is an attachment-based and trauma-informed Registered Social Worker providing therapy in Cambridge and virtually across Ontario.
Sessions with Chantale are warm, empathetic, and collaborative. She is committed to building a foundation of trust in the therapeutic relationship, creating a space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported.
Chantale understands that therapy can be a powerful model for secure attachment, and she is dedicated to supporting her clients at their own pace.
Prior to launching The Mindful Place, Chantale worked with a national nonprofit organization for several years, where she provided individual and family support, system navigation, and led advocacy campaigns and school presentation programs. Additionally, she worked in Family Health Teams, providing individual psychotherapy in collaboration with allied health clinicians to hundreds of teens and adults.

Chantale uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindful Self-Compassion, Polyvagal Theory, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Strength-Based Therapy.

How Chantale Stays Grounded
Chantale practices mindfulness in her own life through time in nature, movement, and travel that inspires reflection. Whether walking local trails, enjoying a dance class or resistance workout, or soaking up sunshine, she values connecting to new experiences, and engaging her body as part of her wellness routine.
